● For
swing gates with leaves max. 2m, and those versions with large pillars and
lightweight structures, ideal for one leaf
pedestrian gates.
● Electromechanical
gear motor irreversible 24Vdc with articulated arm, surface mounted.
● Two
irreversible 24Vdc versions complete with limit switch in opening either
without control unit (PP7224) or with incorporated
control unit (PP7024)
● User-friendly:
release with personalized Nice key designed for cord-type release.
● Sophisticated
electronics: slowdown, obstacle detection system, can be linked to the 8K2
resistive sensitive edge.
Below are some examples
of typical electric, or automatic gate operators.
The type of operator for
a gate installation would depend on several factors;
1. Size and height of support columns
2. type of support column (brick pier, wooden post or metal support)
3. material that the gates are made of and type of structure
4. overall width of opening between supports
5. whether the gates are new or already installed (retro fitting
automation)
6. ease of access for power to gate site (in many cases it is
necessary to duct across
a driveway to
the opposite side)
7. what sort of safety equipment and accessories are required (entry
phone, cross
gate photocells,
inductive loop for free exit, additional photocells as safety
devices,
radio fobs etc)
8. practicality of one type of operator over another (hydraulic
motors would cope better
with a higher
cycle rate than would electromechanical)
9. and of course....budget.
Why not give our Colchester or
Ipswich office number a call to see how a site survey would assist
in making an informed choice for the best type of automation for
your gates.
Alternatively, you could use our
quick contact form from the navigation menu, or simply

Aegis can also provide wooden
gates and metal gates, either from one of our designs, or made to
suit your requirements.
